Informasjon fra CEV:
This year’s EuroBeachVolley is in many ways a unique opportunity for the European flagship Beach Volleyball event, being part of theEuropean Championships Munich 2022, a multi-sport event regrouping the European Championships of the following Olympic sports along Beach Volleyball: Athletics, Canoe Sprint, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing, Sport Climbing, Table Tennis, and Triathlon.
Apart from the competition parameters, the LOC has developed a number of side activities and initiatives aiming at uniting the European sports family. An action that has been warmly embraced by the CEV is the so-called Young Leader Forum (YLF) – a platform designed to bring together young individuals working in the sports eco-system and looking to develop their skills. YLF was established by European Athletics 16 years ago, and this time it will involve representatives of all the European Sports Federations participating in the European Championships Munich 2022. The aim is to allow individuals from different backgrounds to meet, interact and participate in shaping new networks of motivated young adults who all work towards improving their respective sports and optimise the future of sports as a whole as well.
The forum will take place from the 19th until the 22nd of August 2022 in Munich and the programme will feature interactive workshops and an exclusive look behind the scenes of the multisport event, including topics such as leadership skills and knowledge, event organisation, technologies, crisis management, governance, safeguarding and sustainability. After the daily working sessions, the participants will be invited to attend the evening sessions of the competition, allowing a unique opportunity for cross-sport exchange of best practices and networking.
Participants should be currently active in some aspect of sport (e.g. as Federation employees, volunteers, officials, coaches, club leaders or workers, etc.) and fulfil the following criteria:
- Aged 20-30
- Have a very good command of English
- Strong link to the National Federation
- Active member of the sports community in their country
- Demonstrated potential to lead others
- Expressed willingness to lead or assist with projects at the Federation level
The participation of multiple Federations allows only a limited number of attendees from each, so on top of the above features, the following additional parameters will be applied by CEV and considered in the evaluation process:
- Max. 1 applicant per affiliated National Federation
- Applicants need to be officially supported by their National Federation
- Priority to applicants from Category 1 to 3 National Federations, with a proven active contribution to Beach Volleyball activities
- The National Federation has to commit to show an active involvement in Volleyball/Beach Volleyball initiatives in the years to come
To facilitate attendance, all participants will be offered free accommodation for 3 nights, hospitality and local transportation, while the CEV will support the international travel of each participant with 300 euros after the Forum.
The application process will be open until next Wednesday, February 9th and each applicant has to provide the CEV Beach Volleyball Department (beach@cev.eu) with the following:
- A short curriculum vitae with focus on listing the involvement in sporting activities, link to the National Federation and proving their command of the English language
- A short motivation letter
- A letter of support by his/her National Federation
Each selected applicant will be contacted by CEV no later than the 28th of February, when further instructions will be shared.
